Galore Drills 2.22 g/t Gold Over 17.5 Metres at El Alamo
VANCOUVER, BC - Galore Resources Inc. completed a track-drill sampling program on its El Alamo claim, part of the Company's 100%-owned Dos Santos project in the Mazapil-Camino Rojo trend of the Concepciùn del Oro district, Zacatecas, Mexico. The program results produced strong gold numbers that justify a more extensive exploration program at El Alamo.
A total of 32 shallow holes were drilled on the El Alamo claim, with assay results from 20 of the holes resulting in significant gold intercepts. The best intervals from the most recent assays include: Hole A1 1.04 g/t gold over 6.1 metres, from 2.15-8.25 metres near surface. Hole A10 2.22 g/t gold over 17.5 metres from 0-17.5 metres starting at surface. Hole A11b 1.23 g/t gold over 3.05 metres, from 2.3-5.3 metres near surface.
"We are extremely encouraged with the gold results from the track-drill program at El Alamo. The results have confirmed that gold mineralization from previous trenching extends below the surface and gold mineralization at El Alamo is open at depth in all directions. These exploration-drilling results have assisted Galore considerably in identifying deeper targets for inclined drilling while demonstrating increased potential for a significant gold deposit on Dos Santos," said Michael Byrne, President.
Drilled widths are reported. True widths and the shape of mineralization have not yet been determined. A conventional track-mounted percussion drill was used due to the steep terrain at El Alamo. Such drills are limited to vertical drill holes of approximately 30-metre depths. The drill rig is rented and operated by Galore personnel to execute the drilling cost-effectively, without dependence on drilling contractors. The track-drill program at El Alamo was successful and we are currently using it to drill on the Los Gemelos claim at Dos Santos.
This exploration program is intended to give insight into 3D geometry and shape of any potential body of mineralization, as well as grade distribution below the surface. It is not intended to be compliant for defining resources. Reverse circulation and/or core drilling will be used once the character of the deposit is better understood. The program has confirmed that gold mineralization exposed by trenching at the surface can now be extended to shallow depths, with the potential to expand deeper.
Samples were crushed and pulverized at ALS Minerals' Zacatecas Mineral Labs, Mexico, and fire assayed by ALS method AuAA-25 in Vancouver, Canada. Galore's QA/QC protocol includes check assays totalling about 10% of each shipment, apart from ALS internal checks, reference material "standards", blanks and duplicate pulps, as well as raw-sample field duplicates are inserted in each lot of 40 samples before shipping to Vancouver for analyses.
